| Steve
Kay started inline skating in 1984 as a training tool to improve his
Ice Hockey Game. After practicing law for 3 years, in 1989 he was
discovered freestyle skating in New York's Central Park, and was asked
to join an "East Coast" skate team. He has taught and performed ever
since. In addition to appearing in the pages of GQ, Playboy, Inline
and the 1998 Rollerblade catalogue, Steve has made numerous Live and
TV appearances, including several commercials and ABC's soap opera
The City. He was a backup dance skater for Gloria Gaynor's "I will
Survive" show and was the first inline skater to perform on Broadway
in "The Fashion Follies." Steve is a former IISA/ICP Examiner and
has been instrumental in the development of the Freestyle Dance Accreditation.
He is a member of the Central Park Dance Skaters Association and was
the 1997 Central Park Skatefright Dance Champion. |
