Skate Schools Group, Inc. founder and CEO, Janet Miller Sheehan,
has been on several boards and served as Vice-chair Planning Commissioner
for the City of El Segundo. As Commissioner she worked on projects
involving the LA Air Force Base, the Chamber of Commerce, Mattel,
Boeing, and the LA International Airport. This experience joined
with Janet's years as former IISA Examiner and owner/operator of
California Skate School, Inc. ground her with a strong foundation
for leadership and organization.
Janet
was chosen as 1996 IISA Instructor of the Year. Her skating experience
includes instructing for such movie studios as Walt Disney Pictures.
She taught Heather Graham in "Boogie Nights" and Russell Crowe in
"Mystery Alaska." Janetl has been featured on television programs
including "Blind Date", ABC's "Home Show", KTLA Morning News, Discovery
Channel's "Perfect Partner", and Lifetime's "New Attitudes." She
can be seen in "The Basics and Beyond" and "Skate Great" instructional
inline skating videos. Janet graduated with a degree in Speech Communications
and Health Science from California State University.
